Overview
One of the hallmarks of the United Church of Canada is its passion for Social Justice. Social Justice springs forth from the spiritual; people choose to make a difference in the world in a way that is meaningful to them.
The Social Justice mandate of the United Church reinforces the idea that our ministry is not just what we do at church, it’s about how we live our lives, how we are active as a church community beyond the walls of our church. At Mount Seymour United we provide opportunities for hands-on involvement in community initiatives, and we also support and encourage the valuable contribution many of our members make in their daily lives - at work, in their neighborhoods and schools, in service to others.
