Guided Meditation
"As we begin to consider experiencing Guided Meditation,…. there arises the questions, “How do I go deeper? We can also express this as, “How do I wake up, become aware?” Awareness creates a sense of presence. Concentration intensifies that sense. The more concentrated the mind, the deeper the calm, and the more profound the sense of simply being.
"The best way of beginning meditation is by being mindful of our breath; focusing on our breathing as we listen to the words". Stephen Levine, Guided Meditations and Explorations.
"No other function of the body is as sensitive to our inner state as our breathing" Morton Kelsey, The Other Side of Silence
In 1977 John E. Biersdorf in the Foreword to Opening to God by Carolyn Stahl makes the prescient statement, "We are currently undergoing a cultural change of yet unknown but probably enormous significance. It has to do with the realization that if we are to survive on this planet we must change our fundamental ways of being and doing. Specifically, we must balance our extraverted, competitive activism with a deeper wisdom grounded in the experience of the presence of God, and issuing into sacramental (sacred) action. Carolyn Stahl calls the news within"
Diarmid O'Murchu, 2004, in the Afterward of Prayers to An Evolutionary God, maintains that "Spiritual and cultural enlightenment is probably the most urgent need of our time"
This will be our goal in Meditation, twice a month as part of our Sacred Circle experience on Wednesday nights at 7:30 pm.
Blessings, Jen-Beth

Spirituality of Our Dreams
“God created the dream to show the way to the dreamer in his blindness.” – Papyrus Insinger, Late Egyptian Wisdom Text
“Your vision will become clear only when you look into your heart. Who looks outside, dreams. Who looks inside, awakens.” – Carl Jung
Taking the time remember and interpret our dreams can be an important spiritual practice. Dreams can awaken us to a larger truth and reality than we currently experience. They can viewed as a pathway to the divine and help us with our quest for wholeness. They can inspire, comfort and challenge us. In Jungian terms, dreams can help us make the unconscious conscious.
During Sacred Circle, we help each other explore the meaning of our dreams in a safe and supportive environment. The experience of sharing our dreams within the group can be very enriching, not just for the dreamer but for the listeners as well. Tap into your dream world once a month with our Sacred Circle.
Contemplative Practices
The contemplative arts develop one's connection to what is real - in oneself, in God, in life, or in the cosmos as a whole. In this growth, we become more alive - living presently, accepting reality as it is, being pure in heart, and waking up to what is always there before us.
Join us to experience different forms of contemplative practice in an evening of meditative instruction, practice, and discussion. Our focus will be on awareness, love, and realizing or recognizing our essential nature.
Lead by learning musician, philosopher, and contemplative, Michael Ertzinger
